The Victorian Institute of Sport, located inside the historic Lakeside Stadium grandstand, is a home for all of Victoria’s Olympics and Paralympic athletes. The recently refurbished heritage-listed building, dating back to 1926, is equipped with the latest sports science, gym and recovery equipment, medical treatment and wellness spaces to ensure peak performance for Victoria’s elite athletes, supporting their success in sport and life.
What's On
There will be tours of the Victorian Institute of Sport, showcasing the wide-ranging facilities and fascinating architecture of the building. In addition, you’ll be able to try your hand at speed and power tests to see how you compare to Victoria’s elite Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
Children's Activities
There will be speed gates for kids (and adults!) to see how fast their 20-metre sprint speed is compared to Olympic athletes.
