The Round is the new cultural hub for the Whitehorse community. Welcoming and inspiring, it is a place for both everyday and special events. As a premiere performance and events facility, it is home to a diverse range of local community and business groups, artists, performers and patrons alike.

The building’s curvaceous perimeter creates a series of opportunities for placemaking and community programming. Unified by the use of bricks— some big, some small—each of the building's five faces forges a robust, enduring and proudly civic presence that responds to its immediate context.

The new precinct integrates architecture, landscape, ecology and infrastructure into a new and engaging model for a suburban civic centre.

What's On

The architectural team will provide a behind-the-scenes tour of The Round. Join BKK Architects, Kerstin Thompson Architects (KTA) and The Round team for a personal tour of the building. Gain an insight into the running of a world-class performing arts centre and see how creative visions are brought to life. After this peek behind the scenes, join for a separate panel discussion with Whitehorse Council and the architects, who will explain the process from competition through to completion.
