ACMI is the world’s most visited moving image museum. Since we opened our doors in 2002, we’ve welcomed over 14.7 million visitors to Australia’s only museum of screen culture. ACMI celebrates the past, present and future of the moving image with a vibrant program of exhibitions, screenings, commissions and festivals, alongside public, industry and education programs. With the support of the Victorian Government and the generosity of our partners, ACMI is undergoing a $40 million major redevelopment which includes a dramatic transformation of the building, new exhibition spaces, a contemporary café and bar with new interior, revitalised shop, a revamped cinema experience, a media preservation lab, new event spaces and learning labs.
