Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery is located in the northern suburb of Preston, which was established in 1856. It is managed by Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (GMCT) while the Friends of Coburg Cemetery—a small, dedicated, not-for-profit group of volunteers—cherish and preserve its history. The Friends of Coburg Cemetery's tours offer a captivating journey through history, showcasing the stories of pioneers, notorious figures, Melbourne icons and the rich histories of Coburg and Preston.
What's On
The Friends of Coburg Cemetery will take you on a guided walking tour, presenting the stories of Melbourne's intriguing and iconic identities, both famous and infamous, now residing in Coburg Cemetery. The stories of those featured on the tour will provide amazing insights into the cemetery’s history and the history of Melbourne.
Children's Activities
There will be activity sheets for children, allowing them to discover, learn, and explore by seeking out unique features and historical facts as they join the fun and uncover the secrets of Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Enter via Bell Street. Meet at the marquee at the shed located on the left of main drive. Dress for the weather/environment and wear sturdy shoes.
