Footscray Town Hall Tour

Joseph Plottel 1936

Description

Take a look behind closed doors and appreciate the heritage value of the Footscray Town Hall. Originally built in 1936, the Town Hall has been extended over several stages, with the last construction works completed in December 2024. Today, it is still home to the mayor, councillors and council staff including customer service, and has been recently re-developed with new staff offices, community rooms and civic green.

What's On

Jesse Newstadt from DesignInc and representatives of the Footscray Historical Society will share their insights of this Romanesque Revival building, and its newly redeveloped civic administration and community spaces.
