ArtPlay: Ping Pong WoW

Description

The former Jolimont Lecture Hall, owned by Victorian Railways, was a training facility for electric train drivers from the 1920s to the 1980s. In 1999, the City of Melbourne identified the historic red brick building located in the proposed Birrarung Marr park as a potential venue for a unique child-focused arts space in central Melbourne.

What's On

Join us and a whole lot of ping pong balls for this creative play installation at ArtPlay.

Artists: The Ball Room

Balls fling, drop and bounce;

Spherical sculptures manifest;

Tales of sea turtle eggs unfold;

And the constant task of filling and emptying buckets always seems to please!

See what happens when you enter our space with 2,000+ ping pong balls, PVC piping and more…

This experience has been designed to captivate both children and adults alike.
