St Columb's Anglican Church Hawthorn

Description

St Columb's Church, built in 1883, connects key people in the development of Melbourne with a local narrative in that this was a period of rapid growth of Hawthorn. This Gothic Revival bluestone building has a fine collection of stained glass windows by such important companies as Brooks Robinson and William Montgomery, which reflect the culture and values of the wider community of the time.

What's On

The church building will be open to view and items from the archive will be on display. There will also be a guided tours of the building's highlights. Experienced guides will be available to answer questions throughout open hours. Copies of the new book about the stained-glass windows will be available to view and to purchase.

Children's Activities

A scavenger hunt will be available. The community garden will be operating on Saturday morning.
