Water Bugs + Wildlife at Jacksons Creek
Description
Dive into the hidden world beneath the water’s surface!
Learn why the platypus is one of Australia’s most iconic animals, explore how the water cycle works, and discover the impacts of stormwater pollution.
Then roll up your sleeves for a hands-on ponding activity—sweep net in hand, collect water bugs from Jacksons Creek and identify them using macro-invertebrate identification charts to see what they reveal about the water quality and health of our creek.
There’ll be bird spotting, bug hunting, and plenty of fun for curious minds.
