An Anstey Village Walk with Hansen Partnership + Nightingale Housing—Summer Fun(draisers)

+ Add to Itinerary

Description

Take a walk through the Anstey Urban Village in Brunswick and unpack how this precinct is changing and why it works.

This seven-stop guided tour explores the practical moves behind Anstey’s urban renewal. Damian Iles, Managing Director of Hansen Partnership, and Toby Dean, Head of Community at Nightingale Housing, share insights into the role of transport infrastructure, planning frameworks that support growth, and how housing, built form and public space come together to create a neighbourhood people actually want to live in.

Along the way, they’ll focus on real decisions on the ground, what’s been done well, what’s been challenging, and what’s shaping the next stage of the precinct.

The tour also explores the impact of Nightingale Housing projects as built form exemplars, alongside Council led initiatives and private development, highlighting how community focused housing, strong interfaces and well designed green spaces contribute to a more connected and successful urban village.

Brought to you with the generous support of our friends and partners, our Summer Fun(draisers) offer new and special opportunities as well as returning crowd favourites. These intimate, limited capacity talks + tours will take you up close and behind-the-scenes with design experts, all the while making a valued contribution to Open House Melbourne.
