Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre is a premier facility featuring an eight-lane 50m indoor pool, leisure areas, wellness centre, and community amenities.
The centrepiece of the Latrobe Valley Authority’s $85 million sports and infrastructure package, the centre features a range of facilities for competitive swimming, leisure, general community use and major regional events.
The centre also includes an indoor water play zone, a warm water pool, a designated learn-to-swim pool, spa and sauna areas, a wellness centre, café and retail precinct and wet and dry change facilities.
What's On
Explore the aquatic and recreation facilities on a guided tour that reveals how the centre supports a diverse range of users. Begin in the pool area to learn about the different pools, who they are designed for, and why each is maintained at a different temperature.
Go behind the scenes to discover how the centre manages water temperature and quality, including its use of geothermal technology and advanced chemical filtration systems. Hear about emerging partnerships with the physiotherapy team and how the facility is supporting health, rehabilitation and wellbeing.
The tour will also include a visit to the gym, with an introduction to the YMCA’s role in operating the centre and creating opportunities for health, connection and community participation.
