What's Good for the Birrarung is Good for Everyone—Summer Fun(draisers)
+ Add to ItineraryDescription
Burndup Birrarung burndap umarkoo / 'What's good for the Yarra is good for all' in Woi-wurrung.
Take to the water on a guided kayak tour of the Birrarung led by Up the Creek, an organisation creating immersive experiences that reconnect people with nature, community, and self.
Paddling out from the suburbs and beneath the Eastern freeway, you'll experience the river from a new perspective; a place to slow down, immerse yourself in nature, and reflect on the relationship between city and landscape.
As we paddle, we focus on how we collaborate with the water itself, tuning into our senses, noticing the river's effect on our bodies as we move across it, and imagining new ways for people and the river to collaborate differently.
This tour is designed to be suitable for all ages.
Brought to you with the generous support of our friends and partners, our Summer Fun(draisers) offer new and special opportunities as well as returning crowd favourites. These intimate, limited capacity talks + tours will take you up close and behind-the-scenes with design experts, all the while making a valued contribution to Open House Melbourne.
Children's Activities
Children are encouraged to come along and share their voices. A diverse cohort of all ages can help us all imagine better!
