Building Description

RMIT Design Hub Gallery is a progressive exhibition environment within the iconic RMIT Design Hub building. Opened in 2012, the building is identified by its skin of 17,000 glass discs. In addition to the Gallery, this award-winning building is home to RMIT’s School of Architecture and Urban Design and the RMIT Design Archives.

RMIT Design Hub Gallery exhibits creative, practice-led design research and is open to everyone. Our exhibitions visualise, perform and share research ideas and make new research connections. The Gallery fosters and supports a community of practice, including architects, designers, curators and students for collaborative, interdisciplinary design research and education.

During Open House Melbourne weekend, Design Hub Gallery will be showing Super Tight, an exhibition exploring the culture of spatial tightness emerging in Asian cities and its creative potential.
