Open in 1916, the Hawthorn Tram Depot is an imposing building in the American Romanesque style, designed by notable Melbourne architect Leonard Flannagan.
What's On
Take a guided or self-guided tour to see the premises and Melbourne's heritage tram fleet. Explore the exhibitions, former driver training school and see twenty tramcars from the 1880s to the 1970s. There are several displays and videos in our exhibition room, including information on the art trams, Wattle Park and the former cable trams of Melbourne.
