Expand your knowledge

Open House Melbourne is excited to present our new Formal Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program, offering architects, designers, and built environment professionals the opportunity to deepen knowledge in innovative and engaging ways.

Using Stroll the City—our immersive audio walking tour accessed via our website—participants can experience the city first-hand while gaining valuable industry insights and CPD points.

This unique format combines architectural learning with place-based exploration, enriching professional development with fresh perspectives on Melbourne’s evolving urban fabric.

Formal CPD: 100 Years of Registered Architects

The 100 Years of Registered Architects audio tour will trace the evolution of Melbourne’s built environment through one significant CBD building per decade, spanning the 1920s to the 2010s. Jill Garner and Giorgio Marfella highlight how architecture has adapted to the city’s cultural, social, and material shifts over the past century.

Learning outcomes:

  • Evaluate Historical and Contemporary Design Approaches
  • Apply Knowledge of Construction Systems and Materials
  • Appreciate Heritage and Future Challenges in Architecture
