Our July Weekend program is set to be announced very soon – mark your diaries for 30 June – and, in the meantime, you can prepare to explore the city and satiate your cravings for architecture, design and secret spaces with our virtual archive.
Experience Melbourne virtually with digital tours, livestream recordings and downloadable self-guided maps from the past two years.
Among the many options, you can explore 3D captures of the Footscray Town Hall, a magnificent and rare example of American Romanesque architecture designed by Joseph Plottel in 1936, listed on the Victorian Heritage Register; the Gregory Burgess Architects Studio, featuring extensive annotations of Burgess’ projects and points of interest, alongside a series of short videos featuring the architect himself and others discussing his life and work; and the spectacular lighting design, elaborate foyers and intricate crystalline ceiling of The Capitol at RMIT University, originally designed by celebrated architects Marion Mahony Griffin and Walter Burley Griffin in 1924 and restored by Six Degrees Architects in 2019.
