Description

An upcoming development by Sterling Global, 623 Collins is a bold reimagining of one of Melbourne’s most historically significant CBD sites. Rising 42 storeys above Collins Street, the mixed-use tower integrates the former State Savings Bank of Victoria (1924) and the heritage-listed Batman’s Hill Hotel into a new chapter for the western end of the city.

Designed by Plus Studio, the $590 million development carefully retains and restores the original banking chamber and façade, ensuring the craftsmanship and civic presence of the interwar era remain part of Melbourne’s streetscape. The historic banking hall will be revitalised as a future hospitality venue, reinforcing its longstanding role as a place of gathering and exchange.

Above the restored podium, 316 residences are supported by over 2,700 square metres of office space and 900 square metres of retail fronting Collins and Spencer streets.

The interior design by Fiona Lynch shapes a refined material palette from lobby to residence. A suite of wellness and lifestyle amenities, including a pool, bathhouse and landscaped terraces, reflects a contemporary approach to vertical living, connecting heritage, design and urban renewal within a single address.
