A creative, research-led approach has been foundational to ARM’s practice, whose curiosity and questioning spirit have produced a national body of work that is unmistakable, influential, and widely recognised.

After nearly three decades atop a city car park, the firm has moved its Melbourne cool to a swish and contemporary studio in a central city tower. The location offers a strategic advantage and space to host events, talks and gatherings. High up on level 27 of the former MLC Building (1973), the fitout is designed by us, for us, to work at our best in all sorts of ways and be who we are: joyful, bright, open, and energetic. It's hands-down a great place to work, to generate, to learn, to meet, and to share.

Come see the fitout of ARM's new studio in Melbourne, which transforms a post-war modernist tower into a vibrant, flexible environment.

Organised around a half-donut floorplate with panoramic city views, the studio exemplifies a workplace that is simultaneously functional, inspiring, and emblematic of the practice’s identity. Feature columns wrapped in AI-generated graphics express ARM’s ongoing exploration of technology, research, and playful design. 

Aligned with our history of ‘building buildings we cannot draw,’ ARM will present a show on the design thinking behind the some of our boldest, city-shaping designs in Melbourne: RMIT Green Brain, Barak Building, Hamer Hall, Melbourne Central and the Shrine of Remembrance, to name a few. We look forward to welcoming you here and many times in the future.
