This self-guided tour features both public and private projects that contribute to Melbourne’s unique character and urban culture. Featuring heritage preservation, contemporary architecture, landscape architecture and fine-grain street activation, the tour has something for everyone.
The City of Melbourne’s Design Excellence Program demonstrates commitment to high quality design in our built environment. The program focuses on design leadership and innovative processes to support high quality design and to consistently improve built environment outcomes within the City of Melbourne.
What's On
This self-guided tour explores a cross-section of City of Melbourne public realm projects and recently built private developments that contribute to Melbourne’s global reputation as a design city. Visitors can download or collect a map to explore sites across the municipality during the weekend and beyond.
