Explore a selection of projects that exemplify design excellence in the City of Melbourne, as chosen by some of Melbourne’s most esteemed design professionals.
This tour features both public and private projects that contribute to Melbourne’s unique character and urban culture. Selected by members of the Melbourne Design Review Panel (MDRP), the tour encompasses heritage preservation, contemporary architecture, landscape architecture and fine-grain street activation.
The City of Melbourne’s Design Excellence Program demonstrates commitment to high quality design in our built environment. The program focuses on design leadership and innovative processes to support high quality design to consistently improve built environment outcomes within the City of Melbourne. The Melbourne Design Review Panel (MDRP) is an expert group who provide independent design advice on significant projects within the City of Melbourne. The panel is made up of experts from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design.
