Everfresh Studio
Description
From the street, Everfresh appears as an unassuming warehouse in Collingwood; inside, it is a working studio that has helped shape the city’s globally recognised street art, graffiti and mural culture.
An example of a community-based creative environment that developed organically, audiences will have the rare opportunity to meet and speak with the artists in their own studio and enjoy relaxed, in-depth conversations about process, collaboration, and the realities of contemporary public art practice.
What's On
Enjoy this rare opportunity to access the usually private Everfresh workspace, home to many of Melbourne’s leading public artists and one of Melbourne’s most influential creative hubs. Explore the studio, view works in progress, and see how the space reflects the personalities and practices of its artists.
The resident artists will open their doors to the public, offering insight into their current projects and creative processes. Visitors can explore the studio environment, view works in progress, and engage directly with artists in conversation about culture, place, and Melbourne’s rich history within the international urban art movement.
Participating artists include: Ling, George Rose, Ursh, Makatron, Tayla Broekman, Studio Drez, Manda Lane, Niqui Toldi, Fikaris, Dan O'Toole, Chimp, Baxter, Chuck Mayfield, Jo Travis, Tom Civil, Guirao, Candela, Refuz, David Lee Pereira
Children's Activities
Everfresh isn't designed for children, although many of the artists are parents and will happily engage with kids, provide stickers and opportunities to draw and engage in meaningful conversation.
