Description

Footscray Community Arts (FCA) is an arts and cultural precinct on the banks of the Maribyrnong River in Melbourne’s west. Established by trade unionists in the 1970s, FCA has spent more than 50 years as a cultural anchor for Footscray, championing marginalised communities, emerging artists, community-led practice and First Nations leadership.

What's On

Come explore Footscray Community Art’s evolving precinct through an open house, exhibition and self-guided tour.

Visitors are invited to explore FCA’s ongoing commitment to contemporary practice and local voices in SURFACED, our collections exhibition. The self-guided tour then moves through the heritage-listed bluestone Henderson House, where visitors can learn about the site’s industrial past as Henderson’s Piggery. Now home to the Entrance Gallery and Basement Theatre, the building reflects the transformation of the precinct into a vibrant community arts hub, with printed materials available throughout the space.
