Futuremakers: How Young People Designed the New 100 Story Building
Description
For more than a decade, 100 Story Building has empowered young people to build confidence and sense of belonging through creativity. Now we’re opening the doors of a brand new workshop and office space, which was designed in collaboration with a team of young designers we call the Futuremakers.
For Open House Melbourne, we will share the unique process we undertook to inform and enliven the design process with meaningful input from young people. 100 Story Building invites you to join us for a multifaceted hands-on tour of our new creative space and to lend your own imagination to the mix!
What's On
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the new building on a self-guided scavenger hunt, hear about how young people’s ideas were woven into the design through a short talk with 100 Story Building Senior Producer for Creative Learning, Brenna Ternus, or contribute their own perspective and ideas to the evolving space via hands-on design challenges and activities.
Children's Activities
Young people will get the most out of the self-guided scavenger hunt and the hands-on design activities, and adults can support young attendees or join in while also learning about how this unique design collaboration unfolded.
