The Primrose Potter Australian Ballet Centre is the home of The Australian Ballet and The Australian Ballet School, located in the heart of Melbourne’s Arts Precinct in Southbank. Purpose-built to support the daily work of Australia’s national ballet company, the Centre brings together rehearsal studios, creative workspaces and specialist facilities within a functioning professional environment.
What's On
Visitors to the Primrose Potter Australian Ballet Centre will be guided by staff of the Australian Ballet around selected areas of the building, including wardrobe, artistic health and studios, offering a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of an active performing arts organisation and to better understand the spaces, processes and people that support ballet beyond the stage.

For car access, enter parking via Kavanagh Street, featuring a 1.9m height restriction. There is pedestrian access via a temporary walkway bridge from Arts Centre Melbourne. For public transport, take tram line (1) to Stop 17 (Arts Precinct) on Sturt Street. Flinders Street Station is a 10-minute walk away.
