Port of Melbourne Boat Tours

Description

Port Open Day tours are fun, family-friendly events and the best way to see Australia’s busiest port, right on the city’s doorstep. Featuring a guided commentary from port staff, you’ll see Australia’s busiest port from a whole new angle. Melbourne’s port is Australia’s largest container and general cargo port and a vital trade gateway – whether sending Australian grain to Guangzhou or bringing us coffee from Colombia. It handles around 35 percent of the nation’s container trade, with around 3,000 ships calling at the port each year.

What's On

Port of Melbourne tours give rare viewing access to the operations of Australia’s largest container port. Seeing the port from the water allows visitors to see first hand the workings of the port, getting up close and personal with container ships, cranes and port infrastructure.

Children’s activities

Children are welcome but must be closely supervised. Limited children’s activities may be available on the day.
