The Women of Little Lon with Barbara Minchington

Description

Join historian, Barbara Minchinton, as she uncovers 217 Spring Street’s lurid history as a dancing saloon in Marvellous Melbourne’s heyday before it was transformed into a Church of England Mission Hall in the 1890s.

Barbara’s interest in the women of Little Lon began when she was working with archaeologists on the digs from the early 2000s. Come and hear some of the stories she dug up!
