Waterfront: River Rights – Yarra Bend
The Yarra Riverkeeper Association speaks for the Yarra, Melbourne’s own beautiful, resilient, iconic river. It is an independent community of citizen-advocates that works solely in the interest of the river. The spokesperson of the Association is the Yarra Riverkeeper.
Join us for a 90 minute waterfront walk led by Andrew Kelly, the Yarra Riverkeeper, exploring waterfront access, development and the river as public space. A round-trip from Dights Falls, journey downstream through Abbotsford and back again to learn about the current and future challenges straight from the ‘keeper.
Presented by Open House Melbourne and Yarra Riverkeeper Association for Waterfront – part of Melbourne Design Week 2020, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.
