Yinnar and District Historical Society and Museum
Description
Visit the historical Railway Goods Shed for a walking tour of the historical buildings and sites of Yinnar and the art sculptures that adorn the Main Street. The museum will also be open all weekend for visitors to browse photos, historical objects, old wares and artefacts.
What's On
The tour will be led by Debbie Leatham, archivist for the Yinnar and District Historical Society and Museum and descendant of the founding settler of Yinnar, George Firmin. Be sure to pay attention along the way — you could be in to win a spot prize, with vouchers generously donated by the local bakery and pub!
If you're looking for a cuppa or a snack nearby, visit Yinnar Bakery across the road or Cafe 3869 (open until 2pm on Saturday).
Children's Activities
Kids activity sheets are available for young visitors and the Goods Shed opens out directly on to the Yinnar Bicentennial Park and Playground.
