Join the City of Melbourne on a guided tour of notable projects, east of the central business district, that demonstrate design excellence in contemporary architecture, urban design and landscape architecture.
Selected by senior members of Council’s City Design team, this guided 90-minute walk features both public and private projects that contribute to Melbourne’s unique character and urban culture.
What's On
This guided tour, presented by the City of Melbourne’s City Design team, will take participants on a journey east of the central business district, to explore projects that demonstrate design excellence.
The buildings and spaces will highlight how architecture, urban design and landscape architecture have, and continue to, evolve and shape our city.
Stories of exceptional design detail, welcoming public spaces and contextually responsive design, will provide the audience with a highly informative and engaging tour of some of Melbourne’s most awarded projects.
Children's Activities
This guided tour is suitable for young people who are interested in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, or in the history of Melbourne’s development. As this is a guided tour, children can attend with their parents, carers or friends.

Meeting Point
Meet at the Open House Melbourne Info Hub in front of Melbourne Town Hall. This tour will conclude at 45 Collins St, Melbourne.
