EmAGN This: Hard-hat Tours

This exciting initiative of the Australian Institute of Architects’ Emerging Architects & Graduates (EmAGN) and Open House Melbourne, is a genuine once-in-a-lifetime chance to see unique architect-designed homes under construction. You will share a moment in the life of each home, before it is completed.

The program features hard-hat tours of Fitzroy Terrace, Ceiling House, Il Duomo, and Merri Creek House. Hear from award-winning architects and builders as they discuss the challenges of designing and constructing contemporary residential architecture in Melbourne.

Please note building site conditions will vary in scale and building stage.

Merri Creek House

Saturday 28 July at 10am and 11am

Currently being constructed by Atma Builders, the Merri Creek House is scheduled for completion in September 2018. This curved turret house is an orange-brick delight with cascading greenery to come. The streetscape context is made up of double-storey curved, brick-veneer, deco waterfall houses, with decks over the garages. In this context, the re-interpretation fits in perfectly.
