Description

Latrobe Valley Law Courts serves as the headquarters and judicial venue for criminal, civil, and family law across Gippsland, and includes Magistrates' Court, Children's Court, Country Court and Supreme County Court proceedings. The building was recently renovated to improve accessibility and include secure waiting spaces and specialist features to support Family Violence Court responses.

What's On

Take a tour of the public accessible facilities including courtrooms. Starting in the main foyer, volunteers will lead visitors through Court 1, where the magistrate and bench clerk will explain their roles and tasks.

Heading over to Court 2, the magistrate and court services staff will share information about the therapeutic courts and services, and how these courts differ from the mainstream. Lastly, visitors will have the chance to visit either the circuit courts or Courts 3 and 4.
