Architect/Designer: State Electricity Commission of Victoria

Description

PowerWorks Energy Education Centre is a unique, exciting place where visitors can learn about the electricity industry's journey over the years since 1921 by the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, and the more recent era of private enterprise ownership. For those interested in the rich history of Victoria’s power generation industry and the Latrobe City region’s unique contribution, the centre is a must-see.

What's On

Visitors, both from near and far, are invited to come and experience PowerWorks. Join a self-guided tour or watch a short power industry video presentation screened in our comfortable theatrette.

Children's Activities

Don't miss our interactive exhibits that have been specially created to “spark” childrens' interest in understanding electricity generation.
