Sunbury Rings Cultural Walk

+ Add to Itinerary

Description

Join us for a family-friendly, guided Walk on Country at the Sunbury Rings—a significant ceremonial site within the Jacksons Creek bilk wurrdha cultural landscape.

Led by Wurundjeri Cultural Educators, this experience shares stories, language and knowledge that connect to Country, culture and care. Insights draw on the biik wurrdha Cultural Values Study, which recognises the landscape as a place of deep spiritual, historical and living significance shaped by thousands of years of Wurundjeri stewardship.

Presented as part of Open Nature this event will deepen understanding of the Jacksons Creek bilk wurrdha Regional Parklands, a long-term vision to protect, revitalise and share this culturally rich landscape within Melbourne’s growing urban middle ring. This is a rare opportunity to visit a site not typically accessible to the public.
