Building Description
The State Gymnastics Centre is one of the best gymnastics training facility outside of the Australian Institute of Sport. Today it is home to the ATLAS Gymnastics Club, a committee-run club that caters for athletes who are achieving or have the potential to compete on the world stage in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
The building is designed with very high ceilings in the training area for safety and to accommodate the specialised training equipment such as harnesses and bungees to help athletes learn high aerial skills. It has Olympic standard equipment such as beams, parallel bars, metal training bars, vaults, tramp runs, rod floors, and performance floors.
The ATLAS Gymnastics High Performance Club’s objectives are high performance program dedicated to developing international elite gymnasts. Its objectives are to identify current and developing gymnasts, with athletes coming from across Australia for intensive training under an expert team of coaches for anywhere from 22 to 32 hours per week.

Atlas Gymnastics Club welcomes visitors to see the women’s high performance training gymnasium and watch our athletes train high performance skills and routine while enjoying a light refreshment.
