Docklands | D02

Building Description

Opposite Southern Cross Station, Melbourne Quarter will soon become one of Melbourne’s largest mixed-use precincts. Once complete, it will accommodate 14,000 workers and 3,000 residents. One Melbourne Quarter is the first office building on the site, while the wirelessly enabled Sky Park is already an alternative workspace, and a verdant retreat for relaxation and group exercise.

Site developer Lendlease has its new Victorian base at One Melbourne Quarter, occupying three levels of the 13-storey building, which accommodates approximately 400 employees. Other tenants within the tower include ARUP and AMP. The first of three commercial towers on the site, the building was designed by architects Denton Corker Marshall. The concept of the Sky Park was conceived by Denton Corker Marshall and developed in collaboration with Aspect Oculus.

Designed by Hassell, the Lendlease workspaces promote good health, with abundant light, natural materials and more than 600 plants defining the tenancy. On show will be their event space, a high-tech immersion room and interconnecting stairs spanning three floors.
