Building Description

Entry to the building is via the 1000m2 elevated garden, the Sky Park. The garden design carries through into the workspace interior through planting, floor finishes and vistas. The workplace design supports Arup’s active and innovative work culture through the creation of multiple zones. While ostensibly spread over three floors, the workspace has expansive voids with mezzanines to create a cascading, terraced environment. This single volume highly-connected space fosters different programs including open, ‘hackable’ design studios; dedicated project and client collaboration spaces; and a social enterprise run café, STREAT. There are sound and light labs, a maker’s space and an experiential lab for learning, researching and testing.
