Anstey Village
+ Add to ItineraryDescription
Explore the evolving Anstey Urban Village in Brunswick, an emerging inner-city precinct shaped by transit-oriented development that has a strong focus on community-building.
Centred around Anstey Station and the Upfield Shared Path, the area has grown into a mixed-use neighbourhood where housing, public space and everyday amenities are closely integrated.
This returning tour offers a fresh look at how the precinct continues to change. Reflecting recent projects and emerging ideas, it reveals how planning decisions translate into everyday places and spaces. Led by Hansen Partnership Managing Director Damian Iles and in collaboration with Nightingale Housing, the tour offers insights into the role of planning frameworks and infrastructure, and how built-form decisions shape growth and liveability. A key focus is the influence of Nightingale Housing projects as built-form exemplars, alongside council-led initiatives and private development.
From laneways and mews to rooftops and shared landscapes, the tour demonstrates how coordinated planning and thoughtful design can shape a connected and resilient urban village.
