Description

The Old Brown Coal Mine Museum showcases the living history of the former township of Brown Coal Mine (now Yallourn North), Yallourn, and the surrounding State Electricity Commission works area and open cut mine, including the Yallourn Power Station.

Displays include the Yallourn open cut No. 8 dredger cabin, an intricately detailed model of the Yallourn Power Station and the 6-megawatt turbine generator from the now-demolished Hazelwood Power Station.
