Building Description
The building features a resource recovery centre including a waste transfer facility for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and a drop-off area for domestic self-haul waste (with inbuilt resource recovery options). The waste transfer station also includes a resource recovery area for domestic self-haul waste which uses a saw-tooth wall design with six bulk bins and designated areas for separation of recyclable materials. The waste collection trucks and Council vehicle fleet is maintained and managed by the Depot workshop. The building accommodates administrative offices for Council’s Assets and Services Division, including customer service, meeting rooms and a training room lending itself to the use of these facilities for staff and Emergency Services for meetings and organisational training sessions. The Depot’s focus is on providing high quality, appropriate and timely works and services in a manner that achieves Council’s asset management and regulatory requirements, meets community expectations while seeking to continually improve on these responsibilities.
