Description

Gospel Hall Melbourne was established in 1872 in the Victoria Gold Rush era to serve the faith needs of the Chinese people living in Melbourne. It was the fruit of the Wesley Mission and the building was funded, built, owned and operated by the Chinese people and it is one of the oldest surviving Chinese churches in the world.

To this day, Gospel Hall continues to be a place of worship for both English and Chinese congregations and remains a blessing to the City of Melbourne.

What's On

Come explore the church and see parts of it you may not have previously seen. We will have on display some historic items from the church including bibles, hymn books, portraits, the organ and furnishings. We will have volunteers on the day to talk to visitors about the history and features of the church.
