St Columb's Church, built in 1883, connects key people in the development of Melbourne with a local narrative in that this was a period of rapid growth of Hawthorn. This Gothic Revival bluestone building has a fine collection of stained glass windows by important companies such as Brooks Robinson and William Montgomery, which reflect the culture and values of the wider community of the time.
What's On
The church building will be open to view and items from the archive will be on display. A slide show will be operating. There will also be a guided tours of the building's highlights. Experienced guides will be available to answer questions throughout open hours. The Prodigal cafe space will be open on Saturday.
Children's Activities
An "I Spy" activity will be available for children.
