Bookings are required for some limited capacity or limited tours/programs and go live across two release dates. A booking fee of $7 applies.
First release tickets: 12pm Wednesday 2 July
Second release tickets: 10am Saturday 5 July

Entry types

Open access

Open access means no bookings are required to visit or attend these programs, sites or tours. Capacities may be limited so please be prepared to wait until it’s your turn. Open access tours have a maximum capacity and operate on a first-come, first served basis. Some open access programs also have a pre-booked component.

Bookings required

Booked events means pre-bookings are required to join or participate in limited capacity or timed tour/program.
A $7 booking fee applies per visitor. A link to book via Humanitix will be available on individual program listings.

Second release tickets: 10am Saturday 5 July
*Booking fees contribute to ticketing administration costs and are non-refundable.

Open access + bookings required

Some programs include both open access and pre-booked components. For example, a building may be open access (open to visit and explore in your own time without a booking) but also have limited capacity tours on offer that require pre-booking.

Booking fee

A booking fee of $7 applies to tickets for some limited capacity or limited tours/programs, excluding Designing with Country and Heritage Stories of the City. Booking fees are non-refundable. Refer to individual program listings for more information and links to book.

Wait times

Some sites can only accommodate limited numbers at a time, or they may be very popular.

Weather

The Open House Melbourne Weekend is an all-weather event. Programs will only be cancelled in the case of a serious weather event. If you are attending an outdoor event or walking tour, please come prepared for the weather with warm and waterproof clothes, comfortable shoes and your umbrella!

Photography

There may be restrictions, or no photography allowed, at some sites. Please follow the instructions provided by the venue staff and volunteers.

Entry Requirements

Age requirements or other entry conditions apply in some cases for safety reasons. This may include specific clothing requirements or necessary bag checks. Refer to individual program listings and follow the instructions of building staff and volunteers.

Accessibility

Some venues have limited access for wheelchairs and those with mobility requirements, refer to individual program listings for site specific details or email info@ohm.org.au with any questions. Getting around

We encourage visitors to walk, roll, cycle and use public transport where possible when participating in the Weekend. Please note there can be delays and disruptions to public transport on the Weekend. Head to ptv.vic.gov.au/journey to plan your journey.

Volunteers

Over 500 volunteers generously give their time to help you experience the Weekend. Volunteers are there to assist so look for the bright pink vests and friendly smiles!
